busy busy busy

Arghhh!!!! Just finished typing my last entry but then the connection fizzled and the dreaded error 404 showed up. So I am retyping.

Been a busy 2 weeks here in San Antonio. Rundown of activities.

Theme Parks:
1. Six Flags Fiesta Texas, 30 USD for lotsa loops, corkscrews, drops, twists and turns. Long lines (30-60 minute wait) due to junior high field trips on the day we went.
2. Seaworld San Antonio, 44 USD for shows, animal encounters and no lines in all the great rides: Great White - hanging coaster. Steel Eel - deceiving coaster. Rio Loco - US version of Rio Grande guarantees being drenched. Texas Splashdown - Ragin River with 6 story drop --> this one had a 1-hour wait time. The 14 year old kid in front of us got to chatting due to the long wait. He thought I was 13 or 14!! Haha. I told you guys I was just 13:) Long line yes, good thing the park decided to amuse us by sending a couple of animal handlers with a parrot and a python to interact with us. The parrot spoke (mimic-ked) and the python allowed us to touch it. Its skin is better than the snakeskin leather - smooth. Got to touch a dolphin's nose too. Skin was rougher than I expected.

Tours:
1. Historic Walk around San Antonio - USD 10 for an 8-9 block walk that took nearly 2 hours gave me stories about the land featuring Mexico, Texas and the US.
2. Riverboat Tour - USD 6.5 is a 40 minute boatride around the San Antonio River that surrounds the Rivercenter Mall.

Malls:
1. North Park Mall-indoor mall with lotsa food, stores and dept stores
2. Quarry Market-outdoor mall on whose borders I camped in one Sunday afternoon
3. San Pedro Crossing-will visit in the coming days
4. Rivercenter Mall-Brookstone and Marble Slab Ice Cream were the winners for me here
5. The Concourse- right behind our hotel: Walmart, TJ Maxx, CompUSA, Target

Other Fun Activities:
1. Spurs vs Seattle Game 2 at the SBC Center - Team building with everyone in the T3. Spurs Won!!!
2. Food - Olive Garden, Luby's, Indian Palace, Grady's BBQ, Casa Rio, microwaveable dinners, ice cream, etc...

Work, Gym, Swim, Walk, Work, Work, Work. Now I sleep.
