24 half-price books in 20 minutes Posted by Picasa

Fact #21: I love books!

My dream house has a library whose walls are lined from top to bottom wall to wall with books --- all kinds of books.

Came back from the last stop of shopping. I found Half-Price Books. The books are really half the price or less! So Venu and found the store at Preston Rd 20 minutes before closing time. I bought 2 bags full of maybe 20 something books. What a joy:) And this from the store that's not even the biggest and nicest one. Now I hope my baggage home doesn't go overweight.

Saw half-price books before when I came to Texas last Jan and May. Just never found the chance to go to one. It's a bit out of the way and I never did get to drive till now. Besides, it has now been endorsed by another book lover, Erin. I will always make my way to half-price books whenever I find one.

If I ever have to have a business - books will be it for me. Now let me find the time to read...

A posh of elegance

The parasailing bora pic made it after I blogged another entry.

Went to Ayala Museum on my second wind and felt so refreshed with the serenity and elegance.

Elitista

I finally made it to the Northwest lounge. After 3 US trips(2 business 1 personal --longlong ago), I am nowconsidered a gold elite skyteam member and therefore have access to the ever wonderful world of airport waiting called.... "the lounge". Free breakfast (but my Pa and I stopped at Jollibee for breakfast - wasn't too sure I'd be allowed entry again---this trusting girl has difficulty believing without seeing yet), internet use, sofas, tv, newspaper, clean bathrooms - the works. Simple things make me happy.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

You know how some things just make you smile? Songs, thoughts...I'm watching an old 80's movie. I remember liking it before. Just forgot that it starred Sarah Jessica Parker. Girls (really) just wanna have fun! It ranks up there along with "Some Kind of Wonderful". Both have great soundtracks too. Thanks HBO-India:)

Blogging at Changi

Waiting at Changi airport in Singapore to board the flight to Mumbai. This is for work. Which is what i've been doing lately. Pretty place. Lots of things to do.

Been to Bora. Will post pictures. Ang ganda! Would love to go back.

Disproved the theory of needing "8 hours" of sleep everyday. Although I still want it. Cramming at work. Same as in school. It's just been so long since I had to cram. It'll be better the next time because now I know.

Ups and downs
Met with the heroes 2 Wednesdays ago for an interesting discussion on challenges and opportunities. Live life!
